"It's not about perfect. It's about effort. And when you bring that effort every single day, that's where transformation happens. That's how change occurs."

Lets Chat About It!
Have you ever laid in your bed at the end of the day and thought about all the things that went wrong, got on your nerves… just didn’t go as you intended? I know I have! You know we are so quick to think of all the things that haven’t gone right and/ or all of what we don’t have before we think of what did go right and the things we do have. This can become a festering sore if we do not choose better ways of healing it.
There are so many things in life that we must be grateful for. Regardless of, if things happen in our timing or not, there is always something to smile about and thank God for. Did you make it home safely today? Did you have to deal with the loss of a friend/ family member today? Did you lose your job today? Do you have a roof over your head? Food to eat? I mean the list could go on! If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you have something to praise God for.
Now I don’t want you to misunderstand what I am saying, everyday is not meant to be your best day. What is life without a little rain. How do you expect to grow with no showers in your life. Listen, the storms WILL come, and the weapons WILL form, but you have to already have the shield of God all over you to be able to hold your head high and do the things necessary to make the best of every day.
Some insightful tips...
There have been days when I’ve felt like giving up; and there have been days when I’ve cried and asked why me?! However, in the midst of the pain when I think I am the weakest that is when I am really the strongest; because I then remember WHOSE I am and WHO I am. Listen, I know what it’s like to be in the storm, but I also know what it’s like to keep the faith and come out of it. So, I will give you some tips on how to make the best of every day despite what you are faced with on your daily walk in life:
1. Start your morning with something inspirational. Listen to your favorite gospel artist. Listen to your favorite pastor or motivational speaker. Read a scripture.
2. Have talks with yourself. Make up in your mind and heart that NOTHING will disrupt the peace that is inside of you. Ask God to remove all that is to come your way that is not of him. SPEAK LIFE INTO YOURSELF!
3. Be mindful of the people you have around you. Everyone isn’t for you! Ask God for the spirit of discernment. One thing about people, they will either help lift you up or they’ll help bring you down.
4. When you are faced with a problem (for example, someone getting on your nerves, something didn’t go right, you’re tired, etc.) refocus your thoughts on something good and/ or turn on your favorite music or sermon that calms you. Most of all pray through it!
5. Remain grateful! At night before you lay your head down give thanks to God for all that he has brought you through and pray on those situations that seems to get you out of character and disturb your peace. Ask God to lead you and strengthen you where you seem to be weak.
